HydroVision is proud of its Service (applications engineering, installation, start-up, training,
after-sales, field, telephone, internet etc.) and we have our own service logistics that allows us to
deliver rapid service and parts if required. Most of the instruments can be repaired on-line and in
extreme situations, a site visit might be necessary. HydroVision can rapidly mobilise equipment
and service personnel to attend to clients needs.
HydroVision has performed flow monitoring services worldwide, and has a specialized service
group that provide field services devoted exclusively to obtaining and collecting accurate flow data.
Our experienced field crew are well versed in all aspects of flow monitoring including monitor trouble
shooting and hydraulics. Our service teams include surveyors, fully licenced divers and field
engineers who easily identify various hydraulic conditions present and employ proper flow
monitoring techniques for each individual situation.

Applications Advice:
The flow monitoring program is carried out in conjunction with the client to identify flow monitoring
sites, client requirements, field checks and verifications and all preliminary pre-installation checks.
This includes:
- Review of available maps, drawings, photos, etc.
- Previous flow records and conditions
- Pump Station, River Barrage, Dam discharge records etc.; and
- Rainfall/Flood records
After identifying and completing the above, HydroVision field personnel will visit the sites for
investigation, preparation, equipment installation, start-up and data collection.

Installation:
HydroVision always meets installation schedules and equipment reliability with accurate data
collection on time and within budget. Each of the service crew has years of field operations
experience, and each has been involved in projects world-wide. They take into account all the critical
elements for open channel and river flow monitoring.
The field team includes surveyors who verify accurate channel dimensions, divers (if required),
electrical and electronics engineers. The field crew are familiar with all safety requirements and are
fully trained and completely equipped.

Start-up:
Once the installation of transducers and flow meter is complete, the system is started-up. The Field
Service Manager will retrieve the data and check all the signals from all the transducers to verify
accuracy of the signal, perform signal analysis and verification.
These data will be checked against supportive velocity data. Rigorous quality assurance/quality
control procedures are followed and upon satisfactory start-up, the flow meter will be handed over to
the client.
The client will now be trained.

HydroVision has modern training facilities consisting of fully wired seminar rooms and training
facilities where clients and personnel are trained and kept up to date with latest in flow
monitoring technologies.
HydroVision also trains clients at the client sites, especially after start-up has been performed,
to ensure a smooth transition of the flow meter into client hands.
HydroVision considers their clients as their partners and fully transfer their knowledge to their
clients. The training methods and facilities are continuously improved to meet the growing
demands of modern communications technology and client satisfaction.
