The AquaProfiler reads flow profile directly from the flow using HydroVision's proprietary, patented
profiling technology. It measures with a single transducer assembly, the level, velocity and flow. The
system is designed to measure both, the vector and the magnitude, using twin velocity beams, of
individual velocity cells to account for velocity variations within the flow, and obtain a flow profile. Over a
vertical profile of 5m (16.5 ft), the AquaProfiler measures in 400 discrete cells the individual velocities in
each cell to derive an accurate velocity profile. A third horizontal acoustic beam is used to measure the
water level and combined with the velocity profile, the most accurate flow is calculated.
